Alleghany Memorial Hospital Foundation Breast Cancer 5K Run & Walk in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains.
New this year:
- AMH Foundation is leveragin this event to raise funds to purchase a much-needed 3D Mammogram for Alleghany Hospital. This is part of our focus on preventing breast cancer.
- NEW Walk event! In addition to the 5K, we will offer the option of a shorter walk on the path around Crouse Park.
- Individual and Team Fundraising allows participants to fundraise to make a greater impact on raising money for the 3D Mammogram machine.
Crouse Park offers numerous activies for families and kids for a fun filled day. They include cornhole, ladder ball, bocce ball, basketball, pickleball, face painting, photo both plus tons of play ground equipment.
The course meanders through rural areas and along main street in downtown Sparta, North Carolina. The changing geography will be a challenge for novice and advanced runners.
Participants will have the option to run or walk to maximize their 5K experience. The Kid’s Fun Run race distance is less than a mile.
Race Day Schedule:- Registration opens at 8 AM
- 5K Start at 9 AM
- Walk starts at 9:10 AM
- Awards at 10 AM
- Kids Fun Run start at 10:30
